St John’s Church in Nelson was this week’s venue and this time there was even a sign outside announcing the event! For whatever reason there was a bit of a buzz about the event this time and certainly more people coming through the doors. The turnout of FPH members was really encouraging so thanks to everyone who attended. We learnt a lot from the first day and used it to good advantage by establishing firm contacts with several key individuals from other local organisations. It’s amazing how many people don’t know who or where we are and as one member pointed out – none of our leaflets give directions to the centre! It’s a pity because not only are people missing out on the Friends activities, they’re also missing an excellent cafe.
