The Wycoller Landscape Project focuses on the area of Wycoller Country Park and surrounding township. This is cared for by the Lancashire County Council Countryside Service with support from the Friends of Wycoller and Pendle Heritage Conservation Group.
The park is exceptionally rich in its heritage with a series of unique ancient monuments and listed buildings set in fields of ridge and furrow with ancient gateposts, walls and ditches, not to mention its many romantic associations and characters. Our project looks at the various elements that make up this historic landscape such as the bridges, clothiers houses and vaccary features. Our present endeavors are concentrated on recording the different barns and farm buildings of the 1600s and 1700s.
